Why we have loved Australia ?

13 Avril 2014 , Rédigé par Louise Publié dans #Personal Experience

Gidday ! (That's Aussie slang for hello!)

So, by now, we just had landed on the French ground, back home, point 0 of our trip. We need to say goodbye to Australia fastly or at least burry in our minds that tomorrow we will not wake up in our tent and when we will leave it there won't be another beautiful and peaceful landscape wich are typically Australian. Too much typical.

And that's why I'm here today : writing down, while it's still fresh our personal experience about this wonderful trip. Saying that it was one of my favourite trip isn't enough, even if that's a good way to sum up the situation.

Australia has always fascinated us. Since our beginnings as travellers, Charlotte and I have wanted to visit this country sooooo bad. Was it because of its mysticity ? Or simply because of its beautiful landscapes ? Or something else ? We don't really know... Thinking about Australia brings a swirl of positive emotions : freedom, peacefulness, creativity, happiness, inspiration… Awesome feelings.

And that is what we felt, even before the first step on the australian earth.

And after all, why we love Australia then ?

We noticed that we love Australia because of its Nature, not only beacuse of its spectacular beauty but especially for the energy produced. The physical, mental and emotional boost we could get just from being there is immense. It does not have to be in the remote areas of central Australia or in the deep rainforest, everywhere in Australia we found a place to connect easily with nature. Even with a short drive from the city we immersed ourself in the most vivifying natural enviroment, restoring the inner balance. For me the australian nature was a great way of detoxifying and nurturing my soul.

We've loved Australia because of the Australian people too. When we travel we've loved meeting the Locals. We've wanted to learn how people live, we've loved to listen to their stories, what matters to them, we've fancied to find out about their lifestyle and their culture. People have been friendly and down-to-earth approach and their quirky sense of humour have made it easy for us to mingle with Aussies and be part of the local community life. We have always experienced a sincere warm welcome, either is back country side. Often strangers offered us help even when we have had not asked for.

We have loved Australia because auf the freedom, lightness and safety that reign everywhere. We loved the way we felt good when travelling around Australia.

And then, that have been another way to sums up our personal experiences during this wonderful trip.
