I think it was important to list the places that we went and enjoyed for you subscribers, because maybe you want advices if you wanna visit Australia. So here are ten must-sees in Australia !

1. Trek Through the Daintree Rainforest

For hiking lovers, the Daintree Rainforest offers a wilderness experience that ranks as one of the most exotic and challenging in the world. The smell of a rainforest's undergrowth... It's powerful and magical. It might be a reason of why we enjoyed so much this hike. The flora is great too and so different of what we are used to ! On the other side, you should not forget something to protect yourself from the insects. You should take care of where you put your hands and your feets : there could be some tricky trees and beasties on the ground. You're in a rainforest guys !

2. Swim at Lake McKenzie

Fraser Island is the world’s largest sand island and undoubtedly the most amazing spot on the island is Lake McKenzie — a serene, crystal-clear, blue lake with soft sandy beach surrounded by forest. And what makes this beautiful tropical spot even more mesmerizing is its location – the lake is perched 100m above sea level, deep in the sand dunes. You should go there, even it's just to see how breathless is this sight !

3. Climb Mt. Kociuszko

Standing at 2228 m, Mount Kosciuszko is Australia’s highest mountain and it's a bit of climbing. I hope you will find it refreshing from the heat of the Australian summer, like us. Today, around 30,000 people trek to the summit each year. Guided tours are available from Thredbo, their guides are really nice and they know their job. You couldn't find someone best qualified.

4. Watch a sunset over Uluru

Also known as “Ayers Rock”, this famous sandstone rock is right in Australia’s Red Centre. The enormous rock and the whole area are designated as a World Heritage Area and it's such big that you need 2-3 to circle it ! The local Aboriginal people prefer you don’t climb the mountain, but of course many still do. Just make sure you wake up early enough to take in the spectacular site of sunrise over Uluru. And maybe you should wait for the sunset too !

5. Trek and tour the Kimberley

Savage, full of snakes and much larger in size than the entire United Kingdom, the Kimberley region of Australia is amazing wilderness. During the wet season, the place is unfortunatly impassable because of the tropical torrents. The dry season, from April to September, can be really hot during the day, but the heat is preferable to the rain. You should take tours around the Bungle Bungles, Geike Gorge, Fitzroy Crossing, Mitchell Falls and many more places of interest.

6. Swim with dolphin at Monkey Mia

Monkey Mia is a small West Australian town, with good roads all the way from Perth. The trip should lasts a day. Despite the name, there are no monkeys at Monkey Mia but you’ll be really happy to swim wild dolphins when you visit the town’s tranquil shallow beach. I advise you to just turn up to the beach between 8am and 1pm, sit around, relax and wait for the friendly visitors to show up — and dolphins do turn up almost everyday. That was really nice to do, I think you'll enjoy the same way !

7. Cradle Moutain, Tasmania

The guides we used say that Cradle Moutain is ideal for a short trip - in Tasmania. We hiked by day and camped in a wooden cabin by night. Cradle Mountain has some of Australia’s most stunning scenery and the iconic national park teams with native wildlife such as Tasmanian Devils, wallabies, wombats, brush tail possums and currawongs. That was something, beautiful landscapes, I advise you to have a look there !

8. Great Barrier Reef

The whole continent of Australia is a land of natural wonders, all more beautiful than another, but the Great Barrier Reef is the most famous. The Great Barrier Reef is, by far, the world's largest coral reef system stretching 2600 kilometers. The Reef is truly a natural wonder populated with unusual wildlife like the dugong, Loggerhead sea turtle, and many species of dolphins, which are marevellous. While in Queensland, you should journey further south from the the great barrier reef. The snorkelling sites are just splendid.

9.Royal Botanic Garden

They were first established in Sydney by Governor Bligh in 1816. Located near the center of downtown Sidney and the Sydney Opera House, the Gardens provide a contrast to the surrounding urban area and unparalleled views of Sydney Harbor from a natural setting. Covering 30 hectares and adjacent to the 35 hectares making up the Domain, there are over 7500 species of plants represented here. There are presentations in the Gardens including art instruction, guided walks, tours of the historic Government House, and Aboriginal heritage tours. We had time to learn the names and uses some of the endemic plants, that was really interesting, you should visit this garden !

10. Coober Pedy

Coober Pedy is famous for the lifestyle of a big portion of it local residents who live underground all year. This practice came about when local resident tried to escape from the heat before the days of modern air conditioning. It was first an opal mine and today tourists can visit the old mines, visit underground churches, and lodge underground in a motel. The local golf course, with no grass, is played at night with glowing golf balls. The troglodyte city was quite impressive, I advise you to go there. We enjoyed it so much !
